The Etruscan Festival of Inclusion and Integration is a review of cultural events: music, theatre, readings, book presentations, workshops and much more enliven the locations of the Municipality of Cerveteri, with a single common goal; convey positive messages and convey the beauty of cultural diversity.
The project promotes a mentality that does not reserve a marginal function for art, but a central socially propulsive role, trusting in its communicative effectiveness and its high social value, of which the community is the main beneficiary. The Festival aims to create greater awareness through the tools of art, dialogue, discussion and activities for children on the themes of rights and equality and to celebrate openness, physical and mental, towards other cultures and towards all the diversity.
Children in the Desert will be present on Saturday 22 June starting from 5.30 pm with its Solidarity Market.
For the fourth edition of the Festival, the choice of the main theme fell on the line that unites the past of our communities with the challenges of the future. The ambitious project will, in fact, be to connect the practices and customs of the Etruscan civilization regarding cultural exchange and syncretism with the complex, but never elusive, dialogue between cultures, traditions and countries of today's world. The Festival celebrates openness and curiosity towards other horizons, geographical and mental, as a winning attitude for the Etruscans of the 7th century BC. as for the societies of 2024. The title-theme of the Festival "By land and by sea" thus underlines the relationship of continuity and equality between the different parts of the world, be they land or sea, where the people they have always compared and met to exchange knowledge, practices and innovations; the provocation launched at the present is, therefore, to consider both the land and the sea not as stringent boundaries, but as passages, and to grasp the beauty of motion "through" place, which makes existence possible, grammatically and physically, of movement, transition, change.
