At the end of January 2025, a new chapter of solidarity and hope will unfold with our second medical mission in Senegal, following the moving experience we had in Toubacouta in the Fatick Region.

This time, we will head to the village of Tasset Keur Macoumba, in the Thiès Region, a remote and hard-to-reach community where more than 2,000 people live without regular access to medical care.

For much of the population in this community, the distance from health centers and, above all, the extreme poverty make it impossible to receive even minimal healthcare support. For this reason, we will take action: bringing expertise, medicines, and hope directly to the field.

This mission, of course, will not be limited to the Tasset Keur Macoumba community but will also welcome residents from nearby villages, multiplying the impact of our intervention.

A team ready to make a difference

The expedition will consist of a highly qualified medical team: two internists, a gynecologist, a pediatrician, and a physiatrist/orthopedist.

Supporting them will be four non-medical volunteers who will handle all the logistical needs, ensuring that every visit and every treatment can take place as effectively as possible. Their dedication is the driving force that enables us to reach isolated and needy communities.

After arriving in Dakar, we will purchase a wide range of medicines for adults and children, including antipyretics, cough syrups, antimalarial tablets, vitamin supplements, antibiotics, and other essential medications.

Every euro we collect will help us meet the many medical needs we will encounter along the way.

Our mission is not just about treating symptoms: it’s about restoring dignity, hope, and relief to those who, without our intervention, would have no other option.

To carry out this mission, we have set a base goal of raising €1,650... but every additional contribution will make a difference! Each extra donation will allow us to expand the intervention, providing care to more people and equipping our medical team with essential tools.

This is not just a medical expedition; it will be an act of love and social justice, overcoming logistical challenges to reach those who have been forgotten, who are too far away, who live in a “desert” of healthcare and opportunities.

It is in our DNA to believe that health is a universal right, regardless of where one is born.
