Červonohrad

In the city of Červonohrad, located in the L'viv Oblast of Ukraine, we have completed a new mission to support the local community and the development of healthcare activities. The main objectives of this intervention were the delivery of a Mercedes Vito vehicle, intended for the transport of people and materials, and a significant load of medical, sanitary, and hygiene supplies. These resources had a direct impact on both the staff of Bambini nel Deserto Ukraine, recently established, and the civilian population that will benefit from the delivered materials. The project also laid the groundwork for defining future activities to support Civil Healthcare in Ukraine and for developing new collaborations with local Civil Society Organizations. Key figures in this mission include Iryna Fiyalkovska, coordinator of Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine for BnD Italy, Luca Iotti, president of BnD Italy, and Gioacchino Poletto, vice-president of BnD Switzerland. This project not only provided crucial resources but also strengthened the humanitarian support network in the area.

I Sostenitori di BnD

The Mercedes, used in recent years for the recovery of crews involved in delivering emergency vehicles such as ambulances, 4x4s, vans, and minibuses, has been officially handed over to Ukrainian colleagues. This transfer marks a new chapter in BnD's mission to support communities in need, providing essential aid and improving the quality of life in crisis-affected areas.

In recent years, the Mercedes has played a crucial role in BnD's logistical operations, ensuring the safe and timely recovery of crews. Thanks to its reliability and versatility, this vehicle has enabled long-distance travel and operation in difficult conditions, representing a pillar in field operations.

Now, the vehicle will enter permanent service with Ukrainian colleagues, who will use it to deliver medical and health aid throughout the country. This vehicle represents a valuable tool for responding to emergencies and ensuring that medical resources reach the most vulnerable communities. The decision to transfer the Mercedes aligns with BnD's mission to provide concrete and immediate support to those in need, wherever there is a "desert" of resources or opportunities.

The arrival of the Mercedes in Ukraine has been met with great enthusiasm by local partners, who have expressed deep gratitude for this important contribution. The vehicle will be used to transport medicines, medical equipment, and healthcare personnel, as well as for the rescue and evacuation of people in emergency situations. This will strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian humanitarian organizations to respond efficiently and quickly to health crises, significantly improving access to medical care for thousands of people.

In conclusion, the delivery of the Mercedes vehicle to Ukrainian colleagues represents another step forward in the ongoing collaboration between BnD and international partners, highlighting the organization's commitment to providing concrete and sustainable aid. The Mercedes, now in permanent service in Ukraine, will continue to symbolize hope and solidarity, bringing vital aid and support to those in need.
