This project was carried out under the AID10096 call promoted by the DGCS of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the aim of improving access to quality medical care for the population of the municipality of Djibo, located in the northern region of Burkina Faso, an area characterized by severe deficiencies in healthcare services.
Project Objectives
Improving Access to Healthcare:
The main objective of the project was to provide an adequate healthcare facility to serve the population of Djibo and the surrounding areas, ensuring access to basic medical services, maternal and child care, and disease prevention.
Increasing the Quality of Care:
The CSU Urban Health Center was designed and built according to the highest standards to ensure that patients received quality care.
This included adequate training for medical staff and the procurement of essential medical equipment and supplies.
Promoting Health and Hygiene: The project also included health awareness programs to educate the local community on issues related to hygiene, disease prevention, and maternal and child health.
Implementation:
The construction of the CSU was carried out in close collaboration with local authorities and the community of Djibo.
The design and construction phases were supervised by construction experts, while the medical staff was selected and trained to ensure efficient and effective service.
Results and Impact:
The completion of the CSU Urban Health Center has had a significant impact on the community of Djibo and the surrounding areas.
Access to healthcare services has been greatly improved, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances to receive medical care.
Additionally, health education has contributed to better hygiene practices and increased awareness of disease prevention, further benefiting the community in terms of public health.
