We're going back to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco!

The September 2023 earthquake deeply affected the communities in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

Despite the months that have passed, living conditions in the most isolated areas remain extremely difficult, with families still lacking essential supplies.

As in every humanitarian emergency, children are the most vulnerable, exposed to the cold, lack of resources, and disruptions in education.

Throughout 2024, thanks to the humanitarian missions of Echoes of Atlas, Bambini nel Deserto reached these communities, providing concrete aid, building trust-based relationships with local populations, and establishing a stable network of contacts. Teachers in local schools, who received school supplies during our first missions, have now become key points of reference: they provide us with constant updates on the needs of the communities and the difficulties that children continue to face.

The needs remain the same: warm clothing, proper footwear, and basic school supplies are still essential to help children continue their education and cope with the harsh climate conditions of the mountains.

Every donation will be transformed into tangible aid, delivered directly into the hands of those in need. We will reach Marrakech by plane, from where the expedition to the Atlas Mountains will depart. On-site, we will purchase the materials to be delivered, also supporting the local economy.
