High in the Atlas Mountains, where the earth shook violently and left deep scars on homes and hearts, lies a village that chose not to give up. We are in Agadir Atlas, Morocco, where the devastating earthquake of September 2023 brought entire communities to their knees, destroying what was fragile and challenging even what seemed solid.
But amidst the rubble, hope was born.
Extraordinary women decided to react — to roll up their sleeves and use their hands not just to knead flour and water, but to knead a future. They did it with love, with courage, with the kind of strength that only those who have faced pain and chosen to confront it truly understand. These women began producing bread and pastries again, bringing nourishment and comfort to Agadir and nearby villages.

Their oven is not just a workspace: it has become a place of gathering, exchange, and life.
We launched a simple but powerful project: to donate a professional oven, a dough mixer, and the proper equipment to these women to expand production, improve quality, and distribute bread across the valley.
With just €2,750, we could breathe new life into this initiative. And thanks to you — we made it happen!

A Success Achieved Together

In just a few days, we raised the full amount.
And it wouldn’t have been possible without you. Without our supporters — people who genuinely believe in the power of concrete solidarity.
Every euro donated was a gesture of trust. Every share of the campaign was a voice that carried these women’s message far and wide.

There were no big-name sponsors, no media campaigns — there was a community, the Bambini nel Deserto family, that responded from the heart.
The oven was purchased. The dough mixer arrived. The equipment was delivered directly to the village, overcoming rough trails and long distances.
We watched — even from afar — the smiles and incredulous, joyful eyes of the women of Agadir.
The smell of freshly baked bread once again filled the air, blending with the scent of hope.

Today, these women can produce more, with greater safety, creating stable income for their families and contributing to the recovery of the entire community. The oven is no longer just a tool — it has become a symbol of rebirth.
