The agroforestry project in Senegal is a collaboration between the Federation of Organic Farmers of Senegal (FENAB), local communities in the Sine Saloum region, and various supporters, including citizens, fundraising committees, major companies, and web influencers. This initiative aims to improve horticultural crops in Senegal through the planting of thousands of native and fruit trees, with particular attention to endemic species of the Sine Saloum region, which is located within a national park. The agroforestry project aims not only to enhance horticultural crops but also to preserve the natural environment and support local communities. The planting of trees, shrubs, and mangroves will help mitigate climate change, protect biodiversity, and improve the resilience of local communities to environmental challenges.
